Club Meeting and Summer Party

Our review of our Club gathering on the 20th and 21st of August is a pleasant task for more than one reason due to the fact that the large summer fete celebrating the 75th anniversary of M.I. Hummel took place at the same time. In brilliant summer weather the Hummel company showed itself off at its very best to both loyal M.I. Hummel collectors and interested guests alike.

Free concerts as well as fun and games for kids plus exciting insights into pro-duction at M.I. Hummel were only some of the highlights of the well-attended anniversary celebrations. There was a special programme of events for Club members. After the exclusive reception at the Goebel villa, many members availed of the opportunity to attend one of the many interesting workshops, which also took place for the first time within the awe-inspiring walls of Ehrenburg Castle in Coburg.

The Stiefflziacher Showband helped get things off to a great start on Friday and created a great atmosphere for all the visitors who attended the Bavarian Evening. On Saturday there was fun for all the family and a huge party for children in the Hummel park. This included, among other things, bouncy castles and a water playground. While the kids played, the parents had time to marvel at the latest M.I. Hummel figurines or simply relax in the nearby beer garden.

The children could let themselves be pain-ted, take part in a colourful circus, marvel at the magic of the balloon magician or blow huge soap bubbles themselves. At the end of a busy open day the Starlettes and the Headline Showband took their appreciative and willing audience on a musical trip through time.

We were very pleased that so many visitors turned out to celebrate this special day with us and we look forward to doing the same next year.
